Here is a repair quick guide on replacing the filter capacitor in modern LED light fixtures. The capacitors used in many LED spotlight and floodlights from Amazon are often very poor quality and do not last very long.
1) Open the back cover to the LED light housing.
2) Locate the AC filter capacitor that is located near the diode bridge rectifier. It is often a 33uF 300V or similar type.
3) Make a note of the orientation of the capacitors polarity. There will be a marking for a +/- on the can near the leads.
4) Desolder the capacitor carefully.
5) Buy a high reliability, long life capacitor from the AmpedUP Electronics store or source your own.
6) Install the new capacitor into place using soldering iron and making note of the correct polarity orientation.
7) Install the cover of the light fixture. Your LED light fixture should be ready to be tested.
